Things to Do

So you’re coming to South Africa for our wedding — might as well make a week of it, right? Whether you’re here for the views, the vino, or just looking for an excuse to delay going back to work, there’s plenty to keep you entertained. Here’s a laid-back guide to doing it properly:

Franschhoek Wine Tram

Hop on a vintage tram, hop off at a vineyard, repeat. It’s basically a grown-up pub crawl with better views and less regret. Expect good wine, great scenery, and the increasing belief that you’re a wine expert after your third glass.

🦁 Safari, Obviously

You can’t come all this way and not do a safari. Whether you go big in the bush or opt for something closer to Cape Town, you’ll get a proper look at the local wildlife (and we don’t mean the wedding guests at 2am).

🐧 Penguins at Boulders Beach

Yes, there are penguins. Yes, they live on a beach. No, we don’t know how either. It’s worth the trip for the photo alone, and watching them shuffle around is surprisingly therapeutic.
